Brand Activism: Should African brands take a stand on social justice?

In October of 2020, in the heat of the #EndSARS protests in Nigeria, Ezekiel Ojewunmi, head of marketing manager at Quidax and I, collaborated to write what became a manual for Nigerian brands to participate in the conversation without jeopardizing their survival as a brand operating in Africa with the attendant regulatory backlash that governments can visit on companies who don’t fall in line.
